The focus of the Money and Work Group is to seek to encourage Kington to become more self-reliant and economically resilient by promoting measures to ensure that more of our local spend is retained within Kington and by seeking to identify means by which more local jobs and other opportunities can be created for local people. We are considering a local currency (Kington Kwid), providing and training in sustainable crafts and rural skills, a Shop Local campaign and promoting the Herefordshire Truffle Card scheme for a start.
